. Police return cultural treasures to the Historical Museum - Channel 1
Stone slab depicting a mythological scene with Sacred Wolf, nursing the founders of Rome Romulus and Remus will receive the National Historical Museum by the police. Among the rare artifacts that were stolen by treasure hunters and traders of antique is a marble sarcophagus whit rich relief decoration. This is the first find of its kind in the country.
In the National Museum of History will be brought for storage and examination cultural monuments whit extreme artistic and scientific value. It is assumed that they originate from the Roman city Ratiaria near the modern village Archar. In the last decades of twentieth century it was a subject of treasure-hunter pogrom, as a result of which the city was destroyed irreversibly.
